Last week the government through the Council of Ministers made a decision to extend the dateline for road tax. This decision will allow vehicle owners in Vanuatu to comply with the road tax.
The Minister of Lands and Port Vila’s MP Ralph Regenvanu has welcomed this decision. He said that this extension of dateline to the end on May will permit vehicle owners to pay for road tax and any other necessities.
Port Vila has a high number of vehicles compared to any other places in Vanuatu. The Government website has noticed that since this decision was made last Wednesday by the CoM, there was a queue of vehicles lined up for inspection at the Public Works workshop at Nambatu area in Port Vila.
