This Monday, November 27, 2017, the Prime Minister, Mr. Charlot Salwai TABIMASMAS will participate to the launching of the bilingual tourism and Hotel Management Bachelor and will inaugurate the new building of bilingual Higher Education on the campus of the University Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) in presence of Mr Jean-Pierre NIRUA, Minister of Education, Training and Francophonie, the representative of the Government of New Caledonia and Mr Gilles FAVRET, Ambassador of France in Vanuatu.
In addition to these high personalities, the ceremony will also be attended by the President of the University of New Caledonia, the Director of Isthia at the University of Toulouse 2 Jean-Jaurès, the Dean of Taylor's University and the Dean of Victoria University of Wellington as partners in this bilingual tourism – hotel Management Bachelor. This unique program in the region aims to train in three years the future bilingual managers of the tourism and hotel industry in Vanuatu. In addition, this contextualized and adapted training for Vanuatu will also integrate beyond the tourism issue, agri-food and environmental issues and the enhancement of the cultural and natural heritage.
In order to inscribe this project in the long term, a framework agreement involving all partners in the project and a framework cooperation agreement between the University of New Caledonia carrying the project and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu, will be signed.
