The Vanuatu Vanuatu athletes defended  colors of the country at the last Commonwealth Games in Australia, they make a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister (PM) Acting Jean Pierre Nirua this morning. Mr. Nirua apologized on behalf of the ministers for not being present at the airport when they arrived because of the lack of communication between VASANOC and the government. The interim Prime Minister said that VASANOC never informed the government of the arrival of the athletes. Mr. Nirua calls on Vasanoc to improve his information sharing. The acting PM congratulated the athletes for the achievement that had made and return with the first medal of Vanuatu at the Commonwealth Games. He said that the government is there to support the athletes and retain the commitment to the development of sport in Vanuatu.
