Prime Minister Charlot Salwai and Health Minister Jack Norris officially laid the foundation stone for the Brenwé School Clinic and the surrounding village on Thursday of last week. The fund of this dispensary is 4 million vatu and the Vanuatu government will donate this money at the request of the chiefs and the population of Brenwe to their memeber of the Parliament Jeroome Ludvaune. This clinic will facilitate the service to the student and the population of Brenwé to gain access to the subsidy in the village. At the moment, they go to the Umet clinic or to Norsup hospital for consultations. Mr. Salwai told the health officials that he does not want to see herbs grown on this stone. He wants to see that this clinic is built this year if there is the necessary budget. The chiefs and the people of Brenwé said since independence, this is my first time that they have acceded a prime minister with a large delegation and they thanked the Prime Minister for the visit and also for their dispensary. Mr. Salwai was visiting the northeastern part of Mallicolo last Thursday with the Minister of Health and Minister of Education Jean Pierre Nirua, the Directors General and representatives of the province of Malampa.
