The customary dance of the island of Ambrym is one of the customary dances that focuses on the day of the leaders on March 5 this year. During this time, almost all the islands of Vanuatu have presented customary dances to mark this day and at the same time mark the reopening of the nakamal of the leaders of the Malvatumauri of Port Vila which was damaged by the cyclone Pam. This day was like a mini arts festival. This was to begin at the Independence Parks where the customary dance of Maevo leading the delegation that came from the islands, chiefs, people who are on Port Vila and government officials. There were speeches, food for the public and customary dances that marked this moment, it was really the day of the chiefs.
