The Science, Technology and Resources (STAR) Network was founded in 1984 as a joint initiative between SOPAC and the IOC/UNESCO. The STAR Network has met annually for nearly three decades in conjunction with SOPAC, which provides secretariat support.
This Conference aims to connect Scientists and practitioners working and living in the islands of the Pacific.
The Science, Technology and Resources (STAR) Network of the Pacific will be hosting its 35th Meeting to be convened for the first time in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The meeting will be hosted by the Geology Mines Department, Vanuatu.
